For that reason, the Thessaloniki Depot requires an upgrade to be able to cope with the increasing rolling stock maintenance. R&amp;S together with its representative, Mr. Lambros Papadias in Greece was able to secure a supply contract for <a href=\"\/products\/switches\/railway-electrification\/\">overhead-line switchgear<\/a> to the leader of this project, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.alstom.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Alstom Transport SA<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>R&amp;S was able to offer a solution as well as alternatives according to the railway authority specifications. A detailed offer, fast response rate and satisfied technical support for the offered equipment were some of the winning points for <a href=\"\/rauscher-stoecklin\/\">Rauscher &amp; Stoecklin<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The design of the products is adapted to the requirements of the Hellenic Railways Organization, short OSE, which is the eventual end-user. It is the first project that Rauscher &amp; Stoecklin was awarded in Greece.<\/p>\n<p>Some specifications of the project:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>16 sets of overhead-line switchgear<\/li>\n<li>Disconnectors, disconnectors with earthing switches and load-break switches<\/li>\n<li>Nominal voltage of 25 kV AC<\/li>\n<li>Nominal current of 2000 A<\/li>\n<li>Uniquely designed motor-drives<\/li>\n<li>Rod linkages for operation<\/li>\n<li>Delivery in December 2020<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>As an extension of this order, Alstom also awarded a second supply contract to Rauscher &amp; Stoecklin for a 6 km line section between Isthmos Korinthos and Loutraki.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #5587c8;\">About Alstom Transport SA<br \/>\n<\/span>Alstom is a French-based company headquartered in Saint-Ouen-sur-Seine.
